Frequently asked questions

What should I bring to the first visit?

Bring your ID, any medical reports and previous X-rays or MRI scans, a list of your medicines and known allergies, and any insurance papers if relevant. It also helps to write your questions down beforehand.

Can I bring my previous imaging?

Yes, bring it along with its reports if you have them. It helps the doctor understand how your condition has developed and compare it.

How is the diagnosis made?

It starts with listening to your complaint and your history, followed by a clinical examination of the affected area. When needed, X-rays, an MRI or other tests are requested. An accurate diagnosis is the basis of the treatment plan.

Will I need surgery?

Not necessarily. Many conditions are treated without surgery, and your surgeon decides after an in-person examination. If surgery is an option, the reasons and alternatives will be explained to you.

How long does treatment or recovery take?

It varies from person to person depending on the condition and the type of treatment, and your surgeon sets it after assessment.

What happens after surgery?

The medical team explains wound care, protection of the treated limb and your follow-up visit. See After Surgery for the general picture.

What is the role of rehabilitation?

Rehabilitation is a gradual programme that helps restore movement, strength and stability after an injury or operation. Read Rehabilitation for more.

How can I contact the clinic?

You can reach the clinic by phone, WhatsApp or the booking form, and the contact details are on the Book an Appointment / Contact Us page.

Does the clinic work with insurance companies?

You will find the information on the Insurance page. It is also wise to check your own coverage with your insurer before the visit.

How do I prepare for an operation?

Follow your surgeon's instructions, bring your reports and medicines, and arrange help for after the operation. Details are on the Before Surgery page.
